Take a moment to appreciate the dedication within yourself for continuing along your Ashtanga journey!
In this class, we continue to the next step of the Vinyasa: the seated postures. These poses calm the nervous system and add heat and fire to the body. They also cleanse and detox the body by squeezing out toxins and increasing the digestive fire.
We hold these postures for several breaths, so you are welcome (and encouraged!) to use any props that help you relax while in the pose. Rest your arms on yoga blocks or place blankets under your knee or ankle. As with all of the classes in this series, take your time and repeat! During this time, find what works and feels best in your body so you can graduate to the next class with confidence in your abilities, wherever they may be!
