Pullups Progression 1
Instructor: Carl Paoli

DESCRIPTION

The most basic form of pulling mechanics looks exactly the same as a pushup, except we're pulling. In this level we'll work on a ring row.

The great thing about a ring row is that we can scale it to different heights.

1) At the top of the row, your forearm should be perpendicular to the bodyline, the same way we had it in the pushup.

2) If that is easy, scale up by bringing your legs down. The lower you go down, the more weight you have to carry.

Focus on the ring row the same way we focused on the shoulder for the pushup. Pull your shoulders back first, then bend the elbow. Your shoulder is the prime mover, and your elbow and wrist are assisting the movement.
