Rolling Pistol Progression 1

DESCRIPTION

We will discuss squatting mechanics, but we're going to add rolling motion with the candlestick roll.

With this progression we'll start by performing a feet together squat and see if you can take a seat on the ground.

1) Squat down and take a seat. The seat should feel pretty light, so that you're not collapsing down.

2) Lie down on your back.

3) If you're comfortable with lying down on your back, when you take a seat, round your back and rock back.

4) Next, when you rock back, extend your legs and the hips up and sit again.

5) Now comes the front part. Sit down, rock and then drive your heels to the ground.

6) Next think of performing a very fast, full range, sit up. You'll finish looking down.

7) Stand tall.
