Wah’s Bio
Wah Khalsa was born into the Kundalini yoga lineage. As the daughter of renowned Kundalini yoga teacher Gurmukh Khalsa, she grew up with the honor of learning from the best. Wah spent most of her childhood in India, where she was exposed to the lively beats and rhythms of Indian music. She found her love for dance when learning the traditions of Bhangra dance throughout her school years — a love she would eventually infuse into her Kundalini yoga and Kundalini dance classes later in life.
When Wah graduated from her community’s spiritual boarding school in India at the age of 18 as a certified yoga teacher, she spent the next two years in New Mexico studying directly under her spiritual teacher, Yogi Bhajan. At 21 years old she connected with her family’s yoga business, Golden Bridge Yoga, where she taught and was the director of the centers for many years in Los Angeles. Wah has since moved to Portland with her family, where she teaches weekly classes and travels to festivals and events around the world. Her goal is to empower people and give them tools to become the masters of their own lives.
