About the Series

Find refuge from the fast pace of daily life in this series that rejuvenates your nervous system and balances out a fast-paced lifestyle. Each class utilizes props to assist with gentle and extended postures, and gravity to further open the body. You will unlock new space in the body and mind, enhance flexibility, and cultivate ease in overworked muscles. Beginner and advanced practitioners alike will benefit from pressing the reset button with these deeply relaxing and restorative classes.

Included in this series is a short tutorial class that introduces you to the props, modifications, language, and pose types used throughout the plan. The remaining classes comprise two full-body restorative sessions, a front-body focused class, and a back-body class. Physiologically, the slow and gentle pace of each practice will help you shift from the “fight or flight” response of the sympathetic nervous system to the restorative “rest and digest” response of the parasympathetic nervous system. This relaxation of the body is assisted through extended holds that give you plenty of time and space to open the body and clear your mind.

Restorative Reset provides the perfect balance to busy lifestyles and intense workouts. By nourishing the body with this restorative practice, you will leave the mat feeling rested and ready to approach the rest of your day.

An LA-based yoga teacher, Carling is known for her lighthearted attention to detail and commitment to the growth of her students. Connecting individuals to the practice through intelligent and informed sequencing, compassionate, intentional adjustments, and relevant alignment instruction.

Carling’s teaching is designed to give students the tools and techniques to access their own unique body’s needs, create new connections and continue to find the center of themselves each time they step on their mats. As a balance to her regular classes, Carling is trained as a Doula and also specializes in prenatal yoga. She has been featured in and contributed writing to publications such as Yoga International, Mantra Magazine, and Yoga Digest. When she's not on the mat, you can find her hanging with her partner in crime Patrick, dreaming of Tokyo, singing along at local shows, and shopping for retro sneakers.

This year she and Patrick Beach opened their first yoga studio, Commune, in the Highland Park neighborhood of Los Angeles, CA.
