Asteya: Non-Stealing

The third yama — asteya — translates to “non-stealing,” calling for us to live with integrity and reciprocity. How can we find joy, happiness, and contentment in our own lives, just as they are? This yoga class will help you draw your attention inward to find joyful acceptance of yourself. Though you’ll move through challenging twists, standing balances, and heart openers, it’s all about focusing on what you can do in the moment and being grateful for what you have.

Naya’s Bio

As a child in the Dominican Republic, Naya Rappaport was first introduced to yoga by her mother when she was nine years old. Her academic pursuits pulled her focus away until she reconnected with the practice after graduating from college in Florida. She first noticed changes in her strength and flexibility, but she was fully intrigued by the emotional benefits — including reduced stress and a better relationship with herself. She decided to enroll in teacher training and dedicate herself to a daily yoga practice, which she has kept up for the past six years.

Naya is currently based in South Florida and teaches workshops, classes, and retreats around the world. A dancer at heart, Naya is known for blending a traditional vinyasa practice with a rhythmic, modern twist. She believes yoga is for everybody, and her positive, uplifting energy encourages self love and exploration on the mat.
